Rip Torn be arrested Cops, Cops Arrest Rip Torn for Allegedly Breaking Into a Bank. Rip Torn is finding himself in more trouble these days.
The actor was arrested Friday night for breaking into a Connecticut bank, TMZ reports.
According to TMZ, Torn — seen here in a mugshot from a 2006 DUI offense — allegedly broke the window of the bank and was found lying on the floor, “highly intoxicated,” and carrying a “loaded revolver.”
However, the president of the bank hopes the ‘Men in Black’ star gets help. He tells TMZ that he didn’t think Torn meant any harm.
Hefaces several charges, including burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, carrying a gun without a permit and carrying a gun while intoxicated. He is expected to appear in court on Feb. 1.
